The easiest way to pull off a holiday party is by taking some of the weight off your own shoulders when it comes to the menu! Mention on the invitations that everyone should plan to bring something, and if possible, get an idea of what everyone’s signature dish will be.

Make sure appetizers, a salad, side dishes, beverages, and dessert are covered, and all you need to worry about is the main entree and maybe warming a few things back up in the oven when guests arrive.

2. Take Some Time for Self-Care This Season

Holidays are stressful even when everything is going just right — between decorations, the rush for gifts, party planning, and trying to make the most of South Carolina’s mild winter climate (like enjoying Ice on Main, even when it’s 70 degrees!), it can be hard to find even a few minutes to yourself to enjoy your beautiful new home.

When you’re busy trying to balance all the requirements of the holiday season, even one day at home with no plans enjoying your beautiful new home can feel like serious luxury.

3. Don’t Worry About Photos — Set Up a Photo Wall!

Rather than worry about making sure someone’s taking photos throughout the night, just set up a photo wall in one corner of your living room! Hang a sheet for a backdrop, make sure the lighting is nice and bright in that area, and pick up some holiday-centric props.

Encourage guests to relax and joke around while they pose, and rather than formal photos, you’ll have great casual shots of the party you’ll be able to enjoy for years to come!
