Greenville has so much to do that you’ll never come up empty-handed when looking to make weekend (or weekday) plans!

Annual events like Fall for Greenville and Artisphere bring thousands into downtown and GreekFest is a well-known must-do for those looking to learn about Greek culture (while sampling some truly amazing Greek food and dessert options!).

While these excellent events pop up in headlines and “reasons to visit” lists nationwide, they’re not the only wonderful activities and events available in and around Greenville!

When you’re looking for things to do in Greenville, SC, there are plenty of ideas both on and off the beaten path that will provide education, entertainment, and delight for the whole family.

You can find a more complete list of local events and fun activities here on the Visit Greenville website, but we’d like to list just a few of our favorites to give you a place to start:

• There’s a Farmer’s Market going on in just about every corner of Greenville County during the spring, summer, and early fall. Try out the downtown TD Saturday Market, pop over to Simpsonville’s local market, drive up to Travelers Rest… your farmer’s market options are nearly endless!
• For fans of relaxing out in the open air with live music and entertainment, Greenville’s Downtown Alive!, Simpsonville’s Heritage park Amphitheatre, Fountain Inn’s Dancing on the Depot, and plenty other locations throughout the county will keep your toes tapping all summer long.
• For families looking to while away a weekend (or two, or three…) the Children’s Museum of the Upstate is the perfect place! Educational exhibits are designed to really let kids dig in and learn by doing, playing, and simply being in this excellent facility.
• Take in America’s pastime by heading over to Fluor Field, located just outside of downtown in the West End, to watch the Greenville Drive play ball.
